Customer brought in 2 Sony TA-N55ES stereo amplifiers for repair service. Customer stated that one of the units popped, lost audio, and he saw smoke causing him to immediately unplug the unit. The other unit had unbalanced audio. Our technician was able to evaluate both of the units as having bad internal amplifiers. Both amps were repaired at the component level and tested for full functionality. Both units have been restored and returned home for the customer to enjoy again.
